Title: IT Operations Manager
Location: Onsite - COS metro
Start Date: ASAP
Status: contract to hire
Pay Rate: $73k - $83k annually

As the IT Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of IT for a global organization.  Responsible for leading, organizing and managing IT Operations including hiring, training, evaluation, guidance, discipline and development of the operations team.  Previous experience meeting with senior staff to help define, solve and implement technology solutions within a timely manner across multiple departments/locations is a must..

DUTIES:

  • Manage all IT Operations related needs, initiatives and operations
  • Manage IT projects and activities related to the IT Operations department in a timely manner and provide periodic progress reports to the Asst. Director of IT
  • Responsible for managing the IT Operations department staff (IT Helpdesk and other operations staff as needed); including hiring, training, evaluation, guidance, discipline and development
  • Responsible for defining, reviewing and maintaining technology purchases, inventory and hardware/software replacement cycles
  • Review and maintain data protection and emergency recovery plans
  • Other tasks as needed

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 7+ years combined experience in technical support, Network/Systems administration, backups, data protection, emergency recovery, telephony VOIP systems, Office 365, Project Management, budgeting, purchasing
  • Good understanding of network topologies, DNS, DHCP, IIS, SQL, Windows/Print/File/Applications servers, Office 365, Windows and MAC operating systems, server/computer hardware, Active Directory, group policies, data protection, disaster recovery plans, backups and Cloud services
  • Familiar with installing and supporting SMS, LMS, CRM and Accounting software applications a plus
  • IT Department structure and planning experience within a multi-site international organization as it relates to defining and providing organizational solutions, staff and support infrastructure to meet the technology requirements defined by department types, sizes and job roles
  • Managing daily operations including analyzing workflow, developing standards and procedures, ensuring projects are progressing, creating budgets, negotiating contracts, and prioritizing deadlines with an emphasis on aligning with firm objectives
  • Ability to write technical job descriptions, interview applicants for different roles within IT and manage the IT Services Department effectively

Requirements:

  • B.S. in Computer Science or a minimum of 10+ years of increasing IT Administration and Management responsibility in a multi-system, multi-platform environment
  • 5+ years managing IT Department budget/purchases while creating and maintaining vendor relations
  • Experience managing and leading an IT Department in a multi-site international company
  • Proven IT and Project Management process improvement and documentation skills
  • Ability and willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed

Experience:

  • Administering and supporting a Windows domain server environment across multiple sites from all levels
  • Developing and managing a multi-site IT organization
  • Managing corporate wide projects from conception to completion
  • Developing IT job descriptions and hiring/managing IT Operations Department staff for different skill levels
  • Managing IT budget/purchases across all the departments of a corporation
